Do you find yourself drawn to using herbs and natural healing instead of always turning to the medical?  Do you feel the life force in crystals, rocks, plants and trees?  Do you love time alone to feel the sun on your face and the breeze against your skin?  Does the silence call to you, so you can listen to the unseen voices of the cosmos?

If you can relate to any of these experiences perhaps you have some witchy connections in your ancestry.  The original, organic witches were not a religious organization, but rather those that felt the call of a certain way of life.  They learned about herbs and the power of the earth from mothers and grandmothers and became connected to the energy of all living beings.  Their extra awareness and perception of the life forces in and around people gave them an understanding that helped people heal and rebalance their lives.

They did not see themselves as special or as part of some cult, group or religious organization, they just experienced a connection with nature and energy that transformed the way they lived.  Building an organizational structure with rules and doctrines would be the farthest thing from their truth.

They worked to discover deeper and more intimate connections with life and nature.  It was how they lived and the calling they experienced.  The fact that some began to group together in times of fear and persecution allowed them to become labelled and defined.  But this was never the original goal, the original white witches lived by a calling to connect and dance with the energy of the universe, to confront the essential and elemental resonance of life.

Their existence was defined by their inner guidance system.  Intuition and the energy of earth and spirit became their teachers.

They lived in the now.  By embracing each day fully, they were able to look for and experience the rich depth of life by confronting everything that was present in each moment.

Love was the central theme. They understood self-love and their interconnectedness with all that existed.  They knew that when they truly loved themselves, loving those around them was easy.  If they could not find the love within, they would never know how to share love fully with others.

Learning and study was central to their day.  They knew to pay attention to what was going on in their lives as all the lessons they needed would happen in each and every moment.  They sought to connect and master their mental and emotional skills and the environments they lived in.

Joy became the way to master energy. Without the presence of joy they would not encounter the higher vibrational energy of life.  Crafting and shaping life took energy and intent, and only the vibrations of love and joy could create the finest results.

In general these women were uninterested in structure and rules and did not really understand the need to build, attain and accomplish things in society.  They were called to develop a deep and meaningful relationship with all that is.  Seeking a unity with the cosmos and gentleness with all beings.  Their freedom and grace left them often misunderstood by those who sought to control and shape society.  Thus they tended to keep to themselves and live independently.

They carry on even today in the quiet reaches of society.  Although many have been manipulated in their early years to conform and fit into society, they will always sense that something isn’t right, that they are living contrary to their inner calling.  There are so many discontent women in our society, and for many it is their witchy roots that will not let them totally fit in.  But we are becoming free, the quickening of our white witch heritage is stirring and we are refusing to live as others expect us to.  We are boldly awakening to our intuitive wisdom.

I know you are out there.  Kindred spirits that are uncomfortable with the acceptable path of society.  Be free, be brave and return to your center of power.  You will once again merge with the energy of the cosmos and dance with the flow of joy in life.  Today can be the start of your return to yourself.

Unconditional Love

Do we really understand unconditional love? It is a beautiful concept, unconditional love.  Some people may even believe they understand it.  But we are not really a society that promotes this intention.  Those that truly love unconditionally would be considered naive and cautioned to step back and protect themselves.  We seem to believe that love … Continue reading “Unconditional Love”

Real Love art card by Tina HeathersDo we really understand unconditional love?

It is a beautiful concept, unconditional love.  Some people may even believe they understand it.  But we are not really a society that promotes this intention.  Those that truly love unconditionally would be considered naive and cautioned to step back and protect themselves.  We seem to believe that love hurts, and we must protect ourselves.  We are on guard to love selectively, once we believe someone won’t hurt us.

But are we truly loving if we only express this love with people we believe will love us back?  Do we really only love people we believe are safe and that have our best interests at heart?  Seems to me that this sounds like a love wrapped in pretty ribbons of fear.

Love wrapped in such constraints may not be love.  It may just be insecurity dressed up as love.   We want something from this person we say we love.  Perhaps we are seeking their emotional support, or comfort or protection.  We sense they will calm our insecurity and thus we deem them safe to love and expose our vulnerability.  Now we can say we love them and open ourselves to them.  Opening ourselves seems like love, feels like love, because it allows us to relax and feel safe.

Don’t you suspect that true unconditional love is an act of sharing, not getting?  There is no thought of what we need from the exchange.  If we are judging and evaluating how we will feel if we share love, then perhaps it isn’t love.  Unconditional love is a beautiful thing because it allows us to experience love every day.  I suspect it is an outpouring of genuine emotion for others.  It is not the least bit judgemental or analytical.  Unconditional love is rather like the sun shining.  It just shines on everyone because it can.  What if we could love and share love, just because we can?  We would not bother to evaluate your worthiness to receive our love, we would just give it.

And here’s a thought, what if we gave it everywhere, shared love as the sun shines, indiscriminately?  What a world we would have if enough people just spread love all around for no reason.

Now I know you may be getting resistant to this flakey feel good idea, and if you are perhaps it is because you misunderstand the implications of loving someone.  I believe love is an emotional energy generated from within us.  A beautiful feeling that can be extended out to others.  A healing energy that uplifts people and makes them feel accepted and included.  And that is the magic of love.  A non-judgemental acceptance and joy that you exist.  How would you feel if the people around you looked at you this way?  They weren’t trying to help you, correct you, evaluate you, they just seemed to smile and appreciate you.

Unfortunately society has wrapped love, not only with ribbons of fear, but ropes of obligation and duty.  Thus if we love someone we will have expectations of what they will do for us and how they should make us feel.

Have a look at your relationships and you will see the hidden expectations.  I hate to say it, but I suspect it isn’t really love you are experiencing if you are trying to shape, change or control someone.  It is simply a ribbon of fear or a rope of obligation.

Real, unconditional love sets people free to be who they are, who they want to be.  Real love is open to discovering and sharing with them.  It does not try to get, but only to give.

So the question is, if you could love unconditionally, without expectations, and it did not matter if someone returned your love, wouldn’t you try it out more?  If you loved more people, without restriction and obligation, you require nothing of them, they require nothing of you, don’t you think you would experience more love in your life?

Tantra is a wonderful spiritual path that is focused on enhancing the state of love.  It will transform your life.

Although couples are more than welcome to come, this workshop is for everyone with or without a partner!!

The Workshop discusses:

Tantra is a beautiful spiritual path that frees us to explore the deepest realms within ourselves.

It is a path of love, of surrender and acceptance. Once we are no longer fighting the current of life we can relax and fall deeper into experiences and see the real meaning in our lives.

Sexual energy is the energy of life. It is through this energy that we are created and it through this energy that we experience the Divine.

Tantra says stop thinking, planning and fussing. Focus on love, joy and the deepest connections we can create with another human being. Relax and let go, trust and move beyond yourself into the realm of spiritual love and transformation.

In this workshop, we will explore the following concepts that will allow you to begin the tantric path and awaken to the flow of Spirit and of Love:

  • Meditation and getting quiet
  • Releasing the world
  • Finding the love within
  • Love, adoration and the Beloved
  • Sex as the ultimate sharing and unity
  • Seeking the Divine through another
  • Supernova and cosmic sex

Open Your Heart and Love Freely

Do you love freely?  Can you express love with abandon?  Can you feel the deep and true experience of love? Open your heart and allow love to flow.  Love is there within each one of us. Open Your heartDo you love freely?  Can you express love with abandon?  Can you feel the deep and true experience of love?

Open your heart and allow love to flow.  Love is there within each one of us. Don’t worry about finding love, it is within you and when you learn to feel it and practice expressing it with others, you will know what I mean.   No matter how challenging life can get, there is an endless pool of love gathering within you, waiting to be expressed.  The only reason you can’t feel it is that you have closed your heart.  To often we believe that we must find someone to love us in order to experience love, but that is not true, in fact the opposite is true, you must first find love within you and share it before you can feel it from others. You believe others don’t love you or have with held love from you, or rejected your love.  None of that matters, love is within you and has nothing to do with your interactions with others, if you can not feel your own love, you will not be able to find it within others.  Take responsibility for the amount of  love in your life, open your heart again and allow yourself to experience it.  Then you will be able to go amongst others and share it, receive it and multiply it!  Learn again to love freely and it will heal and transform your life.  You can begin to experience more love today.  Just start looking at the world in a loving manner and find opportunities to see with the eyes of love.  You are the key to love, don’t look to others to give you what you refuse to give yourself.

“It is a natural ability in the human to transcend even the most restricting or

demoralizing conditioning or programming at any

instant and enter into our natural condition of Joy, Love, and Prosperity.”

Return to Eden

Was there really a Garden of Eden?  It was said to have been a place of perfect peace where we lived with God, the Divine spirit and creator.  In the Garden we supposedly knew no pain and lived in simplicity and grace.  What really happened to that garden and why did we leave?  Were we … Continue reading “Return to Eden”

Return to Eden banner smallWas there really a Garden of Eden?  It was said to have been a place of perfect peace where we lived with God, the Divine spirit and creator.  In the Garden we supposedly knew no pain and lived in simplicity and grace.  What really happened to that garden and why did we leave?  Were we really booted out for eating an apple?

Our nature is such that we must know for our selves.  We are not content to know of possibilities, we want experiences.  So apparently we chose to understand good and evil for ourselves.  We ate from the tree of knowledge because of our desire to explore beyond the garden.  We wanted to walk through some choices that were not good for us, even deliberately painful.  Why?  Because we long for experience.

Thus we set off to know and understand what was beyond the peace we had eternally lived in. We invited the worst of the worst to see what it could really be like.  We wanted the opposite of what we knew.  And thus we have created a world where everything is possible and pain and suffering are felt by all…because we asked for it.

But what if….

What if we never actually left?  What if we just let our mind wander, wondering what it would be like?  What if we just felt guilty for eating from the tree of knowledge and wondered what it would be like outside of our perfect garden of peace and serenity?  What if this became the era of questioning?  What if we started to daydream about the possibilities?

…the Bible says that a deep sleep fell upon Adam, and nowhere is there reference to his waking up.”  A Course in Miracles

Perhaps the Garden of Eden is a metaphor.  It describes a state of being.  Perhaps it is a place we can return to at any time.  It is our home.

We can know pain and sorrow.  We can know crisis.  They are exciting and make us feel alive.  We can also know peace, serenity and joy.  It seems as though we have chosen pain and fear for so long that most of us have forgotten the way home.

Healing and a return to the state of Eden is only a breath away.  You lived in it for eternity and it seems you just don’t remember.

When you breathe very slowly and deeply, and still all the questions in your mind you will find home.  There is this familiar feeling, a peace that settles in.  Then it comes,… this state of calm and a feeling that everything is all right.  You begin to remember that it was all just an experiment.  You begin to have this familiar feeling, that reminds you of  where you really belong.

The more time you spend in the calm and silence the more you remember the truth of your time in the mystical place called Eden.  Then you decide how much time you will spend at Home in Eden and how much of your time will be spent playing the game of life, of good and evil, of seeking and achieving.

But the game loses its power over you as you realize it is not real.  The more you know of Home, of Eden,  the less you are distracted by the games of life.  Life here begins to be less satisfying when you have awakened a deep truth of peace and serenity.

I would like to encourage you my friends to return to Eden, even just for a visit.  Remember who you are.  Get out of the game, the experimenting with pain and suffering, loss and guilt.  It is not necessary.  You have gotten lost in your quest for knowledge and experience.

Return to that State of being called Eden and we shall all live together in harmony and peace and all will be forgiven.
